Hostetler’s Menorah was inspired from the “tree of life” imagery of ancient writings. Years of study of Judaism inspired this creation. it is cast from 2 actual tree roots. You can use the smaller, faster burning candles too! One casting is in Athens, OH studios and one in Hostetler Gallery, Nantucket MA. This the 9 branch to celebrate the Festival of Lights. It commemorates the miracle in which oil for the Temple menorah burned for 8 days instead of one. It embodies both faith and form- its glow a metaphor for endurance and renewal.
