I’m releasing this sculpture which has been in our personal collection since she was carved. A bronze of Standing Woman is in the garden next to Alden library at Ohio University in Athens, OH. She was the tallest wood carving at the time she was created. David is developing his language with the striking head turn and pared body forms. The orange aniline dye lets the wood grain show.
