The original wood carving this bronze was cast from was carved in 1960. It was a board of bathbarra wood David got at the Brooklyn Navel Yard. You don’t see how narrow this sculpture is until you look at the side view. The wood was traded back to David in early 1990’s- that is how we got to make a mold. The form is brilliant and timeless. I have collectors who have their Bather installed on their boat… this Bather came back from a home in Athens, OH now back on market. If you need a pedestal , we can help make that happen.
